stockxchng-chassidy-girl-baby-qute-stock-photo-by-pearl79Babies can be easy or difficult to photograph – it depends entirely on the personality of the one you are photographing (not to mention the parents involved!).  Babies are susceptible to their environment and change; whilst some are curious other dislike strangers and change.

It’s always a good idea to have the parents involved as they are the ones that will ba able to calm the child down if it is upset.  They should always have toys and a change of clothes on hand.  Remember that a baby is not cooperative in anyway; if it needs to eat, it will cry, if it needs to sleep, it will.  Therefore, always ask the parent to produce a baby that is rested, cleaned, has a fresh nappy and has been fed recently (but not so recent that it will be sick!).

It may be gloomy at the beginning of the year, but its never too soon to start planning your travels.  For any photographer, going on holiday is a fantastic opportunity to take some new and interesting shots towards the portfolio.  There is no location in the world that doesn’t have its own unique and photo worthy qualities.  Here are some tips on what to do before you go and what to look out for once you are there.

A couple of days ago we looked at tips when taking landscape photos, however taking landscape photos isn’t for everyone. Sometimes having a real live person in your photo can make it much more interesting.
